Clearing & deleting

Compare clearing conversation context, dismissing Embodiments, and permanent deletion, and check what stays first.

Starting new work, stopping an Embodiment, and removing a whole project are different actions. Choose the scope before acting.

Compare what stays

Action What changes What stays
Clear the room Removes all conversation messages and each Embodiment’s earlier conversation context. Office, Embodiments, learned knowledge, reports, tasks, and shared files.
Dismiss The Embodiment leaves the Office and stops working. Its Subject, experience learned here, and the Office’s conversation and results.
Dismiss and erase experience The Embodiment leaves and its local experience here is erased. Subject and its knowledge, Office conversation and results; this does not delete all historical records.
Delete permanently an Office Removes the Office, its Embodiments, messages, shared files, reports, tasks, and conversation records. Subjects themselves and knowledge they already hold.
Delete permanently a Subject Removes the Subject, its knowledge, and data for its previously dismissed Embodiments. Offices themselves, their messages and results, and other Subjects.

Start with fresh conversation context

Use Clear the room after a project’s discussion ends to let Embodiments approach new work from scratch. All messages are deleted irreversibly. Make a report or save needed content elsewhere first.

  1. Open the Office’s Settings › Danger zone.
  2. Select Clear under Clear the room.

Success shows Cleared ({n} sessions); {n} is the number cleared. If a session could not be cleared, do not treat the action as fully complete. Restore that Embodiment’s operation and retry.

Stop an Embodiment working

  1. Open Subjects › Embodiments and select Manage on the Embodiment to stop.
  2. Select Dismiss, read the confirmation, and select Yes, dismiss.

It leaves the Office. Its Subject and experience from this Office stay.

Also erase the Embodiment’s local experience

Use this instead of ordinary dismissal when you want to discard what an experimental Embodiment learned here.

  1. In its Manage drawer, select Dismiss and erase experience.
  2. Check the Office and Embodiment, then select Yes, erase and dismiss.

Its local experience is erased. Knowledge already distilled into the Subject is not. If erasure fails, keep the error for the operator; do not assume all experience was cleaned up.

Delete an entire Office

Delete an Office only when neither the project nor its content needs to stay.

  1. Open Settings › Danger zone › Delete this Office.
  2. Review the counts of Embodiments, messages, files, reports, conversation records, and knowledge to be removed.
  3. Enter the requested Office code and select Delete permanently.

The Office disappears. If you see The Office is gone, but some things could not be cleaned up:, give the list below to the operator. The Office was removed; this does not mean the entire action failed to happen.

Delete a Subject

Delete the Subject itself only when you no longer want its identity or accumulated knowledge.

  1. Open the Subject’s Overview and find Delete this Subject.
  2. If working Embodiments are listed, dismiss them individually on Embodiments first.
  3. Enter the Subject code and select Delete permanently.

The Subject and dismissed Embodiment data are removed; Offices themselves are not deleted. Ask the operator for help with any cleanup issues listed on screen.
