Limits & unsupported features
Check the boundaries for accounts, trading, result exports, data connections, and research features.
Soulhall lets you assign work in Offices, review results, and research with Edgewright. Before adopting it, check whether these boundaries fit your work.
Needs to handle another way
| Need | Current boundary | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Self-service account registration | No public sign-up. | Ask an organization Admin to invite you. See Members & roles. |
| Trading or placing orders | No built-in live trading or order execution workflow. Research evaluations do not place orders. | Treat evaluations as research evidence to review, not trade records. |
| Export results to other systems | No built-in cross-system result export workflow. | Read results in the Office and download shared files. See View and use results. |
| API/SDK parameter reference | This handbook is not an API or SDK reference. | For research connections from Codex and Claude Code, see Connect Codex or Claude Code. |
Model and spend boundaries
- All Embodiments in an organization share one model connection. Models are not chosen per Office or Embodiment.
- ChatGPT subscriptions cannot perform knowledge extraction; it uses a separately specified endpoint.
- Spend reports estimate model calls, not complete bills. They do not provide complete billing for external integration calls.
- The organization usage limit cannot be unlimited. Offices pause when an Office or organization limit is reached.
See Models & spend for setup.
File, allowance, and research boundaries
- Deployment settings determine upload size. Not every Soulhall has the same limit. Oversized uploads are rejected.
- Managers may have Subject, Office, and Embodiment allowances. Additions are rejected at the limit. Allowances are not cumulative usage counts. See Allowances.
- The deployment must provide Edgewright, and research must be enabled in the Office. Seeing connection settings does not mean a tool has connected or an evaluation has finished.
- A research key opens only the Office workspace bound when issued. It is not a pass across Offices.
Interface and conversation languages
The interface supports English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese. Changing interface language does not translate existing conversations, names, knowledge, prompts, or external errors. Office system conversation notices and Telegram notices use English; their display source differs from Chinese explanations on settings pages.
